Philosophy & Approach

The body is an incredible compilation of complex systems which, given the proper inputs of a healthy lifestyle, can run like a well-tuned machine. Given that we (and our animals) live in an equally complex world - replete with emotional, chemical, and biologic stressors - our bodies are routinely taxed. These environmental stressors often impede the body’s ability to maintain the balance that enables it to naturally function optimally.

Through the use of supportive therapies, I facilitate your dog’s ability to clear out the stress, tension, and energy imbalances that accumulate over time. By achieving and maintaining the natural balance of energy, your dog is able to function at his greatest physical and emotional potential. Every dog has a unique constitution and personality and, thus, the manner in which each manifests physical ailments or emotional disturbances is also unique.

My approach to holistic treatment emerges from this philosophy. Your dog’s medical history, gait, conformation, behavior patterns, personality, exercise routine, diet, lifestyle, and current physical presentation are all considered when establishing a course of therapy.

I view my relationships with clients as partnerships in the care of their dogs and encourage collaboration with veterinarians and other health care practitioners. My services are in no way intended to serve as a replacement for conventional veterinary medicine. Conversely, it is in merging the vast bodies of knowledge that span eastern and western medicine that we are able to offer our dogs the most comprehensive care.
